I will taunt you a second time

There seems to be a bit of a trend for retro Electro concept albums featuring cars at the moment. Super Furry Animals singer Gruff Rhys has completed work on a new electro-pop collaborative project with Boom Bip under the collective monicker Neon Neon. Their album, titled Stainless Style, is based on the tumultuous life of De Lorean Motor Company founder John De Lorean.

Daft Punk's Electroma opens with the duo driving in a 1987 Ferrari 412 and is a strange hymn to the road movie.

And now fellow French Electro bod Kavinsky releases 1986, an album about a guy who dies unceremoniously but is somehow revived to drive his Ferrari Testarossa, which also revives itself a la Christine, the 58 Plymouth Fury of yore. Zombie Ferrari. Zombie driver. He must get his revenge against... well... hard to say - it's French.
