The Empire drifts back...

Clearly when looking for transportation for a new assault on the Rebel Alliance you need to go back to the experts - who knows more about the twin disciplines holding dominion over foreign types by force and sportscars? The Americans? P'ah! I find your lack of lightweight handling disturbing... Hokey religions and ancient suspension are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid.

Of course the traditional electrics one gets free with British sportscars mean all drivers get to experience the darkside sooner or later.

Blown

Excellent Canadian photographer Christopher Griffith has been collecting burst tyres for years. He has now taken beautiful pictures of them. You can see them here...

C'est tres fort

French based car hoonage with that extra element of realism... how much do we love thee?

Let me count the ways...

C'etait un rendezvous
Ronin
For Your Eyes Only
Taxi
A View to a Kill
Le Mans

...to name but a few. And what half of those have in common is that the stunts were performed by Rémy Julienne and his crew. If you think there is something familiar about his realistic approach using everyday cars then you may have admired his work in The Italian Job too.

This is from the opening sequence of Un Homme et une Femme, 20 Ans Déjà, the film probably stinks the joint out but what the heck.
